New APDA yoga class starting in Brookline, MA


A new eight-week session of yoga classes will begin on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. This class is designed specifically for persons with Parkinson’s disease, with an emphasis on increasing flexibility and strength, improving balance and postural alignment, boosting mental concentration, and promoting deep breathing. Classes will take place from 10:30 to 11:30am at Inner Space in Brookline, MA. Care partners are welcome.

The class will be lead by Keith Beasley. Keith has studied, practiced, and taught yoga and meditation for more than a decade. He is a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) with the Yoga Alliance and has completed an APDA sponsored yoga teacher training designed to address the needs of students with Parkinson’s disease.
