Feasibility & Usability of a Stationary Cycle in People with Parkinson's Disease

You are invited to join a research study in which you would participate in an exercise program using a stationary bicycle.

Eligible subjects will participate in 16 exercise sessions (2x per week for 60 minutes) over 8 weeks using the Theracycle stationary bike within the Center for Neurorehabilitation at Boston University: Sargent College. All exercise sessions will be closely monitored by a licensed physical therapist with expertise in Parkinson disease and a research assistant.

You may qualify to participate in this study if you:

  • Have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease
  • Are able to walk without assistance for at least 6 continuous minutes
  • Are able to come to the Center for Neurorehabilitation at Boston University twice a week for 8 weeks during the study period.
