The Boston Bruins Foundation and host Shawn Thornton will be holding the 2nd Annual Shawn Thornton's Putt's and Punches for Parkinson's Golf Tournament on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton, MA.

Pictured above (left to right) is Chapter President - Vlad Lyczmanenko, Chapter Vice-President - Bob Tullis, Director of Development for the Bruins Foundation - Bob Sweeney, and Bruins Left Wing - Shawn Thornton.

The 4th Annual Dopa Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 13 2011 at the Bay Pointe Country Club in Onset, MA. This tournament is intended to raise funds towards the education of Parkinson’s disease and to support those who live with Parkinson’s disease and/or their family members. The goal is to raise enough money so that one day soon, we find a cure for this disease.

11th Worcester Firefighters Memorial 6K Race - June 12, 2011

Every year, the Worcester Firefighters Memorial 6K Race is held in memory of six brave firefighters who lost their lives. This event raises money for local charities in an effort to better the community.

25th Annual APDA MA Chapter Walkathon a Great Success!

The 25th Annual Massachusetts Parkinson's Walkathon was a success. The Walk took place on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Reebok International Headquarters in Canton, MA. Each year, the walk is organized and run by a group of hard-working volunteers. Thanks to these volunteers, as well as the thousands of individual walkers and team members who participated, we have raised over $130,000 for Parkinson's disease research!
