Aug 8, 2011 2nd Annual Shawn Thornton's Putts and Punches for Parkinson's Golf Tournament to Support the APDA MA Chapter - August 8, 2011

The Boston Bruins Foundation and host Shawn Thornton will be holding the 2nd Annual  Shawn Thornton's Putt's and Punches for Parkinson's Golf Tournament  on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton, MA.

Thornton very generously chose to support the American Parkinson Disease Association in the fight against Parkinson's disease and the MA Chapter could not be more grateful. We thank him and the Bruins Foundation for their excellent work and generous support!!!

The Cape Cod PSN presents Moving in the Spirit, a program for Parkinson's caregivers. This retreat will take place on Tuesday, June 21st at Craigville Conference Center in Craigville, MA. Jun 12, 2011 11th Worcester Firefighters Memorial 6K Race - June 12, 2011

Every year, the Worcester Firefighters Memorial 6K Race is held in memory of six brave firefighters who lost their lives. This event raises money for local charities in an effort to better the community.

This year, the Massachusetts Chapter of the APDA has been selected as one of these  charities. Please consider participating in this event or come to show your support. More information can be found at the event website.


Jun 5, 2011 25th Annual APDA MA Chapter Walkathon a Great Success!

The Walk took place on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Reebok International Headquarters in Canton, MA. Each year, the walk is organized and run by a group of hard-working volunteers. Thanks to these volunteers, as well as the thousands of individual walkers and team members who participated, we have raised over $130,000 for Parkinson's disease research!

Mar 18, 2011 Pretty for Parkinson’s Fashion Show Fundraiser - March 18, 2011

The Pretty for Parkinson’s Fashion Show is raising money for the Parkinson’s Unity Walk, a national grassroots organization that aims to raise awareness and funds for research with the hopes of one day finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

The fashion show will take place at Bill's Bar at 5 Lansdowne Street in Boston on March 18, 2011. Doors will open at 7:00pm.
