Events

The APDA Massachusetts Chapter organizes several events each year. Major fundraisers include an annual walk for research as well as the "Putt for Parkinson's" Celebrity Golf Tournament.

The  Mass Chapter supports and co-sponsors the educational programs developed by the APDA Information and Referral Center. Educational initiatives include an annual "Good Start Program" a three part lecture series for newly diagnosed individuals and their families. This takes place in the fall. In addition the annual Winchester symposium is held the first Thursday in June. Every other year, the APDA New England Regional Conference takes place in Sturbridge.  This will next take place in the fall of 2008. On March 27-29th the APDA will join with Boston University Sargent College and the Department of Neurology for the second annual symposia for health care professionals.
