What this Research study is trying to do:
Identify environmental and genetic risk factors for developing Parkinson’s Disease.
Who can participate:
Persons 18 years and older with and without Parkinson’s Disease.

What participation involves:
To ensure you are eligible:
- If you have Parkinson’s disease: a clinical screening appointment at the Boston University Parkinson’s Disease Center, or
- If you do not have Parkinson’s disease: a quick series of questions over the phone
After you enroll:
- 2 quick telephone questionnaires
- One 2-3 hr appointment at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) Clinical Research Center where we:
- Sample your toenail clippings,
- Ask you a series of questions about your health and environmental exposures,
- Sample your blood, and
- Perform a scan of your leg to tell us the amount of lead stored in your bones.
What you receive by participating:
We mail you the results from your blood work and from the scan of lead levels in your bone.
At the completion of your participation, we will also mail you a check for $50.00.
At your BWH appointment, we provide you VALET PARKING AT NO COST.
