Research Study on Parkinson’s Disease
Volunteers wanted for a research study that evaluates the effects of Parkinson’s disease on patterns of muscle activity.
Looking for 60 participants (age 50-80 years):
Group 1: Diagnosed with Parkinson’s and treated with medication only
Group 2: Diagnosed with Parkinson’s and treated with deep brain stimulation
Group 3: Control group – not diagnosed with any major disease
Study procedures during a visit at BIDMC include: muscle testing, ECG, and questionnaires.
Stipend: up to $100 for completing the study and parking vouchers.
