What is the Massachusetts Chapter of the APDA?
The Massachusetts Chapter is a Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association. The job of the Massachusetts Chapter is to accomplish the mission of the APDA through the grass-roots efforts of its members. Those goals are to ease the burden and to find the cure. To that end, we seek to educate those interested in learning more about Parkinson's disease, to assist support groups throughout the State, to help develop programs to meet the needs of Parkinson's patients and their caregivers and to raise funds to find the cure. While a few of us can accomplish some of these goals, most of them require the support and involvement of people like you.
Here are some of our goals:
- To better educate the general public about Parkinson's disease.
- To develop necessary services for Parkinson's patients and their caregivers.
- To facilitate raising enough funds to find the cure for Parkinson's disease.
- To provide resources for the leaders of Parkinson's support groups in Massachusetts.
See below for information about becoming a member, volunteering and donating! Your participation makes a huge difference to those of us who are leading the Chapter. The work simply cannot be accomplished if we don't pull together-and the rewards of success are too wonderful to pass up. Please join us in the effort.
