The backbone of the American Parkinson Disease Association is its volunteers. There are many ways you can help ease the burden and find the cure for those with Parkinson's Disease.

Parkinson's Walk

Every year, the Chapter holds a Walk-a-thon to raise funds for Parkinson's research. Volunteers are needed to publicize the event, solicit prizes for our raffle and help on the day of the event (set up, registration, photography, serving walkers...).

Putt for Parkinson's

Do you love golf? Do what you love and help the Parkinson's community by volunteering to help with our annual celebrity golf tournament at Sandy Burr Golf Club in Wayland. There are opportunities to help prepare for the event throughout the year and, on tournament day, to assist with set up, hospitality and other golf-related tasks.

Leadership

If you'd like to put your leadership skills to help ease the burden and find the cure for Parkinson's disease, there are opportunities on the Executive Committee of the Chapter. A leader of the Chapter is engaged in raising public awareness about Parkinson's disease, initiating programs to support the PD community in Massachusetts, and raising funds for Parkinson's research.

If you'd like to get involved or to learn more, contact Keith Ciccone or Debora Case at (617) 638-8466 or (800) 651-8466.
